WoTEL 2015

E-learning, also known as online learning or technology enhanced learning (TEL) adheres to the basic tenets of face-to-face teaching, e.g. clear aims, specific learning outcomes, valid and reliable evaluation and assessment but with additional flexibility through the use of technology.

Innovative practices in the use of technologies for learning are top research areas but still not sufficiently considered by research. Innovations in educational environments are playing an increasingly important role in the field of TEL, which might lead to new theories for learning. On the other hand, there is a need to verify the impact of existing learning theories on TEL practices to determine whether this is leading to innovation.

TEL and e-learning describe the broad approach to using technology to support teaching and learning processes, design and delivery.

The aim of the WoTEL workshops is to contribute to the advancement and usage of technologies in educational processes and environments.
