A. Direct international flights to Rhodes

Rhodes Diagoras International Airport (RHO) Flights operate from Rhodes Airport to a variety of mainland Greek destinations including Athens, Thessaloniki, Iraklio and Mykonos. The summer season is by far the airport's busiest time, when dozens of scheduled flights arrive from EU destinations and many charter flights from Middle Eastern destinations. The Rhodes International Airport "Diagoras" is located nearby the village of Paradisi, 16 km to the south-west of Rhodes Town.

B. Domestic Connections

Domestic airline connections are available with Olympic Air, Aegean Air, Sky Express, F.A.S RHODOS AIR and AEROCANDIA AVIATION SERVICES-Cyprus Airways. More information can be seen here.

C. Ship Connections

Rhodes using sea transport either by ferry boat or by high speed catamaran boats. From Piraeus port there are daily departures for all Dodecanese Islands. Usually the boats travel during night. Certain boats go direct to Rhodes, while some other stop in other islands, such as in Patmos, in Kalymnos, in Leros, in Kos. Also, Rhodes is connected by sea (less frequent connection) with other Greek ports, such as Thessalonici, Santorini, Mykonos, and Crete.

C. Local Ground Transportation and Assistance

Buses

Buses in Rhodes offer the possibility to get around to many parts of the island in a pleasant and cheap way. Rhodes has an extensive network of good road and regularly scheduled buses serving. There's a good public bus system throughout the island; the tourist office publishes a schedule of routes and times. Buses to points east (except for the eastern coastal road as far as Falilraki) leave from the East Side Bus Station on Plateia Rimini, while buses to points west, including the airport, leave from the nearby West Side Bus Station on Averof.

Taxi

In Rhodes city, the largest of many taxi stands is in front of the Old Town, on the harborfront in Plateia Rimini.
